In addition to building on your basic skills, you’ll learn at an accelerated pace and gain additional experience and credentials that will help you further stand out to potential employers. Need another reason? You’ll also have access to training and academic classes with local community colleges and/or technical institutions through various partnerships.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for Advanced Training programs, you must meet these minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Complete an approved prerequisite career technical training program and achieve all applicable certification requirements
- Meet academic requirements, including the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) Reading and Math scores
- At least 17 years old
- Positive attendance and behavioral record
- Written recommendation from Job Corps center personnel
- Health clearance at current center
- Strong work ethic and determination to succeed
Advanced Training Locations
You can attend an Advanced Training program at ANY center across the country.
The best part? Job Corps will cover your travel expenses from the center where you earned your basic training to the center where you hope to pursue Advanced Training.
