Trapper Creek Job Corps Center
Chellbie participated in the perfect work-based learning program as a lover of the outdoors. She did a forest conservation job where she worked in timber market, trail building, bridge building, timber harvest and vegetation. The Advanced Training program allowed her to take full advantage of the intensive learning experiences and resources Job Corps offers. After graduating, Chellbie accepted a job as a visitor information specialist at the Northern Great Lake Visitor Center in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. “My supervisor helped make sure I maintained all my qualifications. I plan to be working in firefighter support, camp crew administration support or as a Firefighter Type 2. I am looking forward to the future thanks to Job Corps.”
